Product Description

Offering a significant update to the highly popular DJM-800 club mixer, here's the DJM-900 nexus – the next level in creativity for the pro DJ. Excellent computer connectivity, up-to-date effects and high performance features and sound make this the centrepiece of any modern, professional DJ setup. The DJM-900 nexus inherits the familiar DJM-800 layout. To match, we've rearranged the connection panel to make it better and more intuitive. What's more, improved fader technology and audio circuits reduce the need for servicing and significantly increase the mixer's lifespan.

I have tried many different mixers and controllers. This is the one. In most House/EDM type clubs this is the industry standard. Every successful famous DJ uses the 900. Tiesto, Afrojack, Armin, Laidback Luke, Wolfgang Gartner, Hardwell, R3hab, Dirty South, Chuckie..... this list could go on forever. There is a reason it is called a professional mixer. It has everything that the pros use. The Color FX are just wonderful, I really love the noise and dub echo features. The X pad is sick. You can make your own little breakdowns for any song and keep resampling as well. Slip Roll is sick for buildups. You have to
love the quantize feature too, it ensures that when you exit your roll or loop that you are still on the next downbeat. If you are a serious DJ or are considering getting into the EDM scene, this is the one and only mixer for you.

Coming to this mixer from a POS Behringer, I am still in shock at just how awesome it is and everything it can do. The sound quality is top notch, the new effects sound great, the layout is superb, and there is no shortage of inputs or outputs on this bad boy. The built in soundcard is so practical, I would happily use it if I didn't already own a Profire 610.

I suppose my only complaint is that the manual is very lacking in content. Of course you can always turn to Youtube videos and other online tutorials for help, but it would still be nice if there was something more direct supplied by Pioneer.

I'm very excited to learn more about how to use the effects, the send/return, and everything you can do when interfacing with Ableton Live. Pioneer has done it again, this mixer rocks!

7 months after I purchased the Item it quit working and electrocuted me. Pioneer will not warranty any products sold by Amazon. What do you do with a brand new mixer that cost 2k and doesn't work?

We bought one of these brand new, it has been used MAYBE 10-15 times over the past 4 months, already has a dead channel. $2000 el-cheapo garbage.

This mixer is absolutely amazing. I will not go into detail because if you are really thinking about buying one of these, you have most likely used the DJM line before. BUT.. One thing I will say to Pioneer. The 6 FX are all great, but there should be some kind of adjustment curve for the FX amount for the color rotaries. The FX cut in too quickly. That is the only complaint I would have about this mixer. Great buy though. If you are serious about playing out, this is the mixer you will see in clubs.

If you are familiar with the DJM 800 i would definitely recommend upgrading to the newer model. With color effects being my favorite feature on the old model, i was happy to see the 3 new color effect on the 900. The new effects, Space, Dub Echo, and Gate/Compression sound amazing. Another new feature on the Nexus is the X-Pad. The X-Pad allows you to manipulate any one of your 13 beat effects live on the fly without any extra hardware.
